"A consultation is the meeting with a doctor, where we do a medical intake and ask you all the questions in regards to the functioning of your body. Over the course of an hour we will ask about your digestive function, your cardiovascular system, your hormones, your allergies, and other questions related to those. So that is the medical intake when we first meet patients.

Once we get the labs back from bloodwork taken after the initial meeting, we have another hour long meeting where we sit down with a patient and actually explain what the results mean. In a conventional medical setting, most patients will have, at most, 15 minutes with their doctor, while we spend 2 hours with them initially. Every time they get a retest, every 3 to 4 months or so, we will do another set of labs to monitor their progress, and once we get those results back we will meet with them for another hour to go over the results and see how the progressed or regressed. We don’t just do this once a year, we do it three to four times a year, and we have therapies for them, or plans of how to address it.

Most patients we see at Stark are cardio-metabolic patients who want to lose weight, or reduce their cholesterol, or even not be diabetic any more. What we are very effective at doing here at Stark is reducing a lot of those markers."
